The Publicity Maven
Parks Public Relations
Carita Parks has been a budding communications guru since the age of nine. When most students her age were focused on perfecting their handwriting and reading skills, she was busy writing scripts for her mock news production. She has translated the love of writing and media into a career. As the CEO and Founder of Parks Public Relations (ParksPR), Carita has spearheaded innovative marketing campaigns for high-profile clients nationwide.
With a passion for sports and entertainment, she has helped craft successful messages and strategies for major initiatives such as the Bottom Line Sports Show with Penny Hardaway and Charles Oakley, Ray’s Summer Days, Super Bowl XXXIX, McDonald’s All-American Basketball Game, and the Arts & Athletics Celebrity Golf Classic. As a result of dedication and hard work, her clients have received coverage in major publications including the New York Times, SLAM Magazine, Washington Post, Sirius XM, and many more.
Prior to starting ParksPR, Carita worked in leading positions for various nonprofits and agencies where she perfected her craft by playing roles in communications for The First Tee/World Golf Foundation, Environmental Protection Agency, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, and VISIT FLORIDA.
A native of Florida, Carita holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of North Florida and a Masters in Business Administration from Jacksonville University. In her spare time, she enjoys football, basketball, fashion, and traveling.
