Football season is underway, and while the NBA is headed to training camp, their wives gathered in Atlanta for their annual retreat. Behind The Bench National Basketball Wives Association brought women from all over the country to meet at the W Hotel Buckhead for a fun-filled, inspirational gathering of true sisterhood, complete with a hospital trip to visit sick children.
A luncheon was held honoring wives and community leaders such as Tracy Wilson Mourning, Martin Luther King’s daughter and Steve Harvey’s wife for their enormous community outreaches.
Thursday night featured a Pamper Night and catered dinner at the beautiful home of NBA Player Theo & Kristine Ratliff. On Friday, the ladies headed to a local hospital to provide cheer and toys to kids and later the ladies listened to informational presentations from speakers.
The Women in Philanthropy Luncheon was held on Saturday, where Pro Player Insider and NLF wife, Shannon Saint Clair was there and her custom jewelry was featured. Many of the players’ wives, including Clerenda McGrady, Rose Mutombo, Janine Ellis, Anita Demps, Donella Thorpe, Julianna Richmond, Gina Coleman and Regina Tisdale purchased some of Shannon’s creations.
