Seattle, WA- The way to success is having the right mindset, being determined not to quit, and always remembering where you came from. Adversity will propel an individual who will not quit their dream. Gaelin Elmore is ready to take the next step with walking into his dream of being in the NFL, but he has to make his mark stand out in the Pro Days.
Gaelin has dealt with so many obstacles that others could not imagine. He grew up in an inner city that was not popular with displaying any positivity, struggled with having a positive family, and never really had a place that he could call home. All of these factors could have hindered him from being the leader that he is today, but it did not. He used all of the hurt that he felt during his childhood, placed it into football and transitioned it into being the leader of his team. “I have always been a leader at a young age, but I like to help people out. If I could use my experience on and off the field to impact someone, I will,” said Gaelin.
In the football spectrum, Gaelin transferred from the University of Minnesota to ECU, which was somewhat of an obstacle for Gaelin. He had to adapt to another school culture, new playbook and had to deal with getting over a shoulder injury, but he kept fighting. “I did not have a choice. I had to go out there and do this for me, as well as people who have been in my situation. We are survivors and survivors do not give up on anything that they want.”
Gaelin’s strengths include athleticism, high IQ, and tackling good, but he wants to improve consistency.
With Pro Day coming up fairly soon Gaelin wants to be more consistent on the field. He feels at times that is his problem on the field, but he is working towards being close to perfection as he can get. This is his time to shine and lead his dreams into battle at Pro Days.
