Patriots 31 Broncos 21

Willis McGahee is going to have a hard time getting to sleep tonight. The Broncos running back had two costly fourth quarter mistakes that kept his team from coming back on a reeling Patriots team.

The Patriots jumped all over the Broncos taking a 31-7 second half lead on a short touchdown run by Stevan Ridley. From there, the Broncos took over the game. Peyton Manning threw two touchdown passes to close the Patriots lead to 10 points. Then, it all fell apart for McGahee. Willis dropped an easy first down on a Manning pass on fourth and 1 and then fumbled deep in Patriots territory just when it seemed the Broncos would make it a one score game with over four minutes to play.

Overall, Manning and Brady were both fantastic in their seemingly annual battle against each other. Brady passed for over 200 yards, had a touchdown pass, and had a passer rating over 100. Manning passed for 345 yards, 3 touchdowns, and completed 31 of his 44 passes.

Next week, the Patriots (3-2) travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks and the Broncos (2-3) travel to San Diego to play the Chargers on Monday Night Football.
