Possible future roster cuts for Bills

Buffalo, NY- The Buffalo Bills will have to cut some of their veteran players in the next couple of weeks to make salary cap room for other players. Here are some prospects that are on the iron of getting the hot boot out of Buffalo. Offensive Tackle Seantrel Henderson did not live up to the hype. He was often engaged with getting into trouble off the field, as well as taking illegal substances. His career span consisted of more negative energy than actually helping out the Bills. Currently, he is serving a four game suspension for taking illegal substances. If the Bills decided to let him go, they would be saving $1.8 million against the cap.

Offensive tackle Jordan Mills is on the verge of getting cut off. He was brought in to be that lock down factor, but has failed. He has trouble with speed rushers come off the edge on blitz schemes and he was penalized seven times and had seven sacks against him. However he has the potential to stay if he can cut down the sacks. The Bills’ organization likes his work ethic, but he is on the chopping stick with having a few minor setbacks in his game. If the Bills cut him they would save $1.45 million.

The receiving core for the Bills have been lackadaisical with getting it done in critical game situations. Rod Streater, Corey Brown, Rashad Ross, Walt Powell, Brandon Tate, and Andre Holmes are all in the slot machine waiting to see if the Bills will take a chance with bringing them back or releasing them. The one guy that was supposed to take over and be that go to guy was Brandon Tate and frankly he has not shown up. Last season he only had 117 yards. He lacks route running and his head has not been in the game. He is a physical receiver, but does not use his size not his jumping ability to out catch guys. More than likely his time with the Bills has ended. He just has not shown enough for the Bills to take another risk with him.

There  have been speculation that Free agent Anquan Boldin has an interest in the team and the feeling is mutual with the Bills, so it will be interesting to see if they let go of Rashad Ross to get Boldin. These are just some of the potential cuts that the Bills may make in the next few weeks.
They have a new head coach, system, and a team that is just remolding from the Rex Ryan era, so changes will be made in order to compete with the best.
