Seattle, WA- Olympic Medalist Carmelita Jeter has tagged teamed up with Nike and their EQUALITY campaign to bring awareness to everyone about being equal as women.
This past weekend millions of women marched for the Women’s March and a lot of people showed support for March. The March was too enlighten other women, as well as men that women deserve the right to be equal to a male, not get sexually exploited, and just be treated fairly. A lot of women are supporting each other and making it known that in this day and time, that change will happen.
Carmelita will be working with the LA Jets Track Club with empowering the youth, as well as making sure they understand how it is important for women to fight for something that they believe in.
In a statement at the Golden Globes, Oprah Winfrey stated,” Using your experience and your voice is a powerful tool to let your story be heard.” Nike, as well as other companies, are bringing awareness with campaigns, and deep messages to be the voice that needs to be heard.
