Denver-The Denver Broncos are not reconstructing linebacker Brandon Marshall’s contract and it looks like his time in Denver has come to an end. Marshall released a statement through via Twitter.” Much Love for Broncos country! Still not over yet, but being injured 2 out of the last 3 years after the Super Bowl killed me! But that’s life. I’ll land on my feet as I always do.”
Marshall has an exceptional talent that the Broncos saw his first year in Denver. He is a physical and disciplined person. He likes the challenge of guarding the slant receivers when he has to be on them and he is not scared to put a big hit on guys. In his career, Marshall appeared in 74 games with 63 starts and totaled 423 tackles, 6.5 sacks, two interceptions, and 21 passes defended.
It will be interesting to see where Marshall could end up. Even though Marshall has been plagued with injuries, there are some teams that could use a veteran player that have the skillsets that Marshall has. The Titans, Chiefs, Texans, and 49ers could use a guy that has experience. Most of the teams are rebuilding and rebranding themselves, so it could be more than likely that one of these teams could pick up Marshall before the start of the season.
