With the 14th pick in the second round of the NFL draft, the Denver Broncos took Miami offensive lineman Orlando Franklin.
Analysis: The Broncos saw a tough, big, mean, aggressive offensive lineman and decided they could spend a pick on offense after all. Franklin can step right in at guard and might eventually be good enough to develop into a left tackle. But his physical ability should make him a Day One starter at some position on the Denver line.
Alum: Shannon Sharpe and a Broncos fan who won a contest announced this pick. Guess Shannon was too tired from announcing the one before.
