Although a brain tumor brought many issues to a teenage Robert Quinn, the now 26-year-old seems to be doing better. Late Sunday evening, after returning from an away game against the New York Jets, Quinn checked himself into a local hospital with what the team has reported as a non-football related illness.
Coach Jeff Fisher thinks his illness is “highly unlikely” related to his brain tumor and stated that Quinn is stable and getting better. He is not ruling him out for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
Olympic hurdler Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, his sister, tweeted out early Monday morning “Praying hard right now. He gone be okay. He gone be okay.”
About seven hours later she tweeted “You’re a miracle. I love you Rob.”
This year has been rough for Quinn with only two forced fumbles, two sacks and two passed deflected.
Fisher said that everything on the bus was okay after they left the game and were on their way home.
“As a matter of fact, he sits behind me on the bus. We had the long bus ride back from the airport, and I was actually sharing some thoughts on the game and watching some plays from the game with him.” Fisher said.
Time will tell if Quinn will play in the upcoming game or sit out a week.
