Grateful for Corey Liuget’s Time and Turkeys

“I am thankful for my family,” is the response that Chargers Defensive End Corey Liuget got when he asked the children of Keiller Leadership Academy what they Zemanta Related Posts Thumbnailwhere thankful for.

Liuget and After-School All-Stars teamed up to hand out free turkeys to the kids that participate in the after school programming. The turkeys where donated by Kaplan College of San Diego.

Liuget brought teammate and fellow defensive end, Lawrence Guy, to lend a hand. Liuget is a big part of the San Diego defense in his third season with the Chargers. His 6-foot-2, 300 pound build and has accumulated over 27 tackles, three sacks and one forced fumble this season.1094845_610311009013265_1793166666_n

On top of his game play, he is also becoming very involved in the community. Whether its events like this one or supporting San Diego adoption agencies; Liuget is always willing to help.

“Seeing the kids faces is just in incredible,” said Liuget after handing out over 50 turkeys.
ASAS is a programed designed to keep kids from making bad decisions after school and in turn utilize their time being productive with homework or athletics. ASAS has helped many kids stay off the streets and it’ll continue to help kids learn how to make the right decisions in life.
