Tremaine Edmunds, Defensive Rookie of the Month

In a world where the word “bust” is used all too frequently, the Buffalo Bills seem to have scored not once, but twice in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Yesterday rookie quarterback Josh Allen was name AFC Offensive Player of the Week. Not to be outdone, Bills rookie linebacker Tremaine Edmunds was named Defensive Rookie of the Month today.

Sure, everyone can agree that Josh Allen has shown flashes – but he has a lot of growing to do. Tremaine on the other hand, seems to have already grown in to a force to be reckoned with at the end of his first season. When Edmunds picked off fellow rookie Sam Darnold of the New York jets in early December, he became the youngest person in NFL history to record an interception. At just 20 years old, he had his first interception before his first legal drink of alcohol. The rook would finish the month of December with 43 combined tackles, one sack, two interceptions, and four pass deflections.

2019 is looking bright in Buffalo, and it ain’t because of the snow.

Congratulations, Mr. Edmunds.
