The Taste Of The NFL Rises To The Occasion

The Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots may have been the battle on the field, but on Saturday night, the battle was one that affects many people in life. The Taste of the NFL kicked off Saturday night at the St. Paul RiverCentre with the huge crowd. There was music and some celebrities there.

The popular event coupled current and former football players with dishes from the cities they were representing. For example, former Oakland quarterback Rich Gannon was at a booth representing the Raiders while there was some tasty food representing the area of the country being cooked by a chef.

The meals along with the players were all throughout the room, with each table having samples of food for you to eat or wine to drink if you wanted. All of this for a good cause: to fight hunger. The net proceeds from the event go to fighting hunger across America and giving to the country’s food banks money to feed more people.

Popular chef Gephart got involved and has been involved with this event for the NFL, “Hunger has hit me first-hand and Taste of The NFL is the best way to give back that I have found. And partnering with the NFL has been truly an amazing experience.”

To cap off the night of celebrating and giving money and eating, there was a concert by the band O.A.R. upstairs away from the food floor. All in all, the Taste of the NFL created an enjoyable experience where the fans can enjoy meeting the athletes while creating a unique experience for players to reach out to fans and raise money together.
