The New Orleans Saints released offensive tackle Jon Stinchcomb on Monday, after a stellar eight year run with the team that included being voted the Saints’ 2008 Man of the Year, a 2009 Pro Bowl appearance and his key participation in the Saints’ 2009 Super Bowl victory.
Drew Brees commented on Stinchcomb’s departure, as reported on wwl.com, saying, “I think he is one of the greatest teammates I’ve ever had. He is a true pro. He is everything you would want in a teammate, a football player, a man, and a leader. Obviously, he is going to be missed.”
