Each week a NFL player is selected for the NFL’s Courtyard Greatness on the Road, where a player was admired for their hard work in a loss. The player will be recognize on Saturday Feb.4 at the NFL Honors in Houston, Texas. The front runners for the award are Landon Collins and Jarvis Laundry. Both of these players had some great plays throughout the season, but in their Wild Card loss they showed up and played their hearts out.
New York Giants Landon Collins had a great year with 125 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, 13 passes defensed, 5 interceptions, and a touchdown. He is the only player in the history of the NFL that has these types of stats. His season ended after the Green Bay Packers blew out the Giants in a 38-13 route. Collins recorded six tackles and three assists.
Jarvis Laundry is another candidate that is on the Courtyard Greatness on the Road. Laundry had a monster game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who were banged up going in the playoffs. Laundry had 11 touches for 102 yards. He eclipsed over 1,000 yard in receptions with an average of 12.1 yards a catch.
The Courtyard’s Greatness on the Road Award will be announced at the NFL Honors.
