Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne is entering his second year in the NFL with high hopes for what the team can accomplish this season. Claiborne spent his rookie season learning the ways of the NFL. Now this year Claiborne has a better understanding of what it takes to play football at the most elite level and realizes that success in the league comes with the simplest expectations.
“We expect to do our job,” said Claiborne. “That’s go out each and every day and compete, play hard and play with that confidence that we have right now.”
The confidence that the Cowboys have been playing with doesn’t diminish when they are off the field either. Claiborne believes that this year the Dallas defense has the ability to be great if they can continue on their current path.
“I believe we can be great. I believe we can take ourselves as far as we want to,” said Claiborne. “As long as we continue doing the things we’re doing and coming out each and every day, working hard, and competing.”
“Just to have a better year than I did last year. Just come out each and every day and each and every game just to try to get better than the day before.”
