The Arizona Cardinals went into week 6 to face their division rival SF 49ers and came back with much more than a loss in the standings . Calais Campbell who makes it a ritual before every game to kneel down on one knee in the end zone to say a prayer needs one of his own. Campbell went down in the fourth quarter while attempting to make a low tackle however had to be taken off the field in a stretcher and mentioned some tingling in his extremities. With the outcome of the game already for-seen and Calais on the field, the fans in Candlestick Park took that opportunity and made a controversial decision.
During the game delay the fans started a wave that quickly took notice from not only the Arizona players but also some of the Niner players. While one player from the 49ers was caught trying to calm the crowd down to show some respect or concern for the injured player, some went to Tweeter to express their disbelief with their own fans.
Campbell was taken to a Bay area hospital and later Tweeted he was feeling good and thanked everyone for their concerns. He’s eager to get back on the field which isn’t a surprise considering the heart and dedication he has not only towards football, Birdgang fans but to the entire
Cardinals organization.
He is now home in Arizona recuperating and we wish him nothing but good health and a speedy recovery.
