David Diehl, who is tied with Osi Umenyiora as the longest-tenured Giant with 10 years of service is, could be gone next season despite having been one of the cornerstones of the New York Giants offensive line. He has been tasked with the job of protecting Eli Manning as the Giants try to get back to defend last season’s Super Bowl championship.
Diehl hails from Chicago and attended the University of Illinois. In the 2003 NFL Draft, he was taken in the 5th round with the 160th overall pick by the Giants. Diehl has started in every game of his NFL career (136) and in 2009, he was elected to the Pro Bowl as a replacement. He is also a two time Super Bowl champion with the Giants (XLII, XLVI), both of which came against the New England Patriots.
Addison Diehl is a champion in her own right. The daughter of Diehl and his wife Nikki is 5 years old and over the years has developed into a fashionista champion. Last year for the Super Bowl she wore a bedazzled #66 dress as she watched her dad play and win. The dress was specially patterned in four different red, white and blue silk fabrics. On top of the dress, Addison’s outfit had Giant’s colored arm warmers with thumb holes and matching knee high socks.
Addison, as the only child, is quite the true “up and coming” diva-fashionista. She has the most vision and input on her fabulous game day gear. Her mom Nikki, lets her have a say in everything fashion.
Bella Artistry has been making her outfits for about 4 years. We also beautify her clothing for her birthdays. Each birthday at the Diehl household has a theme so every year Addison gets a Diamond Duchess exclusive edition. This year she was the whimsical Princess Jasmine from Disney’s Aladdin. This fashionista makes a point to tell her mom, “I won’t wear specific things unless they’ve been sent to Leah (the Diamond Duchess) first.” This little girl knows what she wants and was thrilled to share the stage to celebrate her dad’s New York Giants victory.
Leah J. Miller made her name as a personal designer and custom outfitter to MLB, NBA and NFL families with the launch of Bella Artistry.
