Marco Island Marriot Boosts Player Assistance Fund

Marriott donates to the NFLPA Gene Upshaw fund

Rick Medwedeff, Marco Island Marriott Resort General Manager, donated $10,000 to the Gene Upshaw Player Assistance Fund yesterday. The Marco Island Marriott Resort is hosting the NFLPA annual convention. The Gene Upshaw Player Assistance Fund was created by the NFLPA to provide vocational, educational, recreational and athletic opportunities for people of all races, religions and nationalities, male and female, wherever they may live, including but not limited to needy, former, amateur and professional athletes and young people who might not have the fullest opportunity to develop their vocational and educational capabilities.
