Busy Week Scheduled for NFL Players and Owners

Following a round of intense meetings in New York City last week, the NFL owners and players have a busy schedule ahead of them this coming week.  Reports are that rather than meet in Minneapolis as was previously reported, the two sides will meet in either New York City or Washington, D.C. the start of the week and that  Mediator Magistrate Judge Arthur Boylan might join them either day.

“The parties will be in touch with Judge Boylan to give him a report on developments in advance of next Tuesday’s session and will consult with him on how to make the best use of the time before our league meeting on Thursday,” said NFL spokesman Greg Aiello. The NFL owners have a meeting scheduled in Atlanta on Thursday.

Resolutions on some of the big issues, including the salary cap and a rookie wage scale, were reportedly made last week but several issues remain to be resolved before an agreement can be finalized.
