Bills vs. Patriots Preview

The Buffalo Bills have one more away game awaiting. Their matchup against the New England Patriots is their second match-up of the year and first for Josh Allen, who improves the odds of a Bills victory, dramatically.

With the signing of Matt Barkley securing the Bills backup quarterback plans for the next two years, Allen and the Bills can further secure an offseason filled with energy and optimism given a win over the Patriots.

On the injury report, Bills running back Chris Ivory is questionable and cornerback Ryan Lewis is questionable. Others such as Lesean McCoy and Kyle Williams are not listed.

As for the Patriots, their linebacker Brandon King is questionable. However, their star tight end, Rob Gronkowski, is worth to keep a constant eye on. With the absence of wide receiver Josh Gordon, Gronkowski should feel a sense of responsibility for better results on the field.

Gronkowski’s three touchdowns in 11 games has shown that he clearly hasn’t been himself this season. Even at the age of 29, Gronkowski’s thoughts on retirement following last season’s Super Bowl loss may not be so unordinary.

As for the 41 year old quarterback, he’s not exactly “terrific” Tom. He’s more like, “I’ll take it” Tom. The game has changed quite a bit, with speed and a bit of flair being showcased among quarterbacks throughout the entire league. Brady knows his speed has been nonexistence for quite a while, however, maybe his flair has come better with age.

Other than a matchup between young and old, this matchup will be noteworthy to reflect on in the coming years as we monitor the rise and fall of two AFC East organizations.
