Joe Flacco outplayed Tom Brady on the road in an AFC Championship Game. No typos. Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens defeated Brady and the New England Patriots 28-13 to advance to Super Bowl XLVII.
With the win, Ravens coach John Harbaugh will face his brother Jim in two weeks in New Orleans. Also with the win, Ray Lewis will play one more game in his Hall of Fame career.
Flacco lead the Ravens on three second half touchdown drives including two touchdown passes to Anquan Boldin. Flacco finished the games with three touchdown passes and avoided turning the ball over.
Brady seemed to fail to get going and never could get in a groove. The Patriots offense stalled on several occasions and scored only one touchdown in three first half red zone appearances. The Ravens batted several Brady passes and intercepted him on a crucial second half drive. Brady was also intercepted on his final throw of the season.
In two weeks, the Ravens will play the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl.
