Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports claims the NFL’s salary cap will increase by a mere $400,000 in 2013. The increase would place the cap at $121 million and is the smallest year over year increase in the history of the cap.
Free agents have been holding off signing new deals in the hopes the cap would spike in 2013, but the $400,000 rise in teams’ wiggle room leaves free agents wondering if a big payday is eminent.
