Bills lead the Jets 20-0 at the half

The Jets rushing defense is ranked first in the NFL for a reason.  They have held both Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller to a combined 28 yards rushing so far.  Yet the Bills are sitting on a 20-0 lead at halftime.

As far as big plays go, it was a pretty uneventful game until there was just under 5 minutes left in the half.  When the Jets blitzed on 3rd and 12, EJ Manuel was under heavy pressure.  The pressure forced EJ to throw the ball to a streaking T.J. Graham on the sideline earlier than he wanted.  Rookie cornerback Dee Milliner showed very poor ball skills on the under thrown pass, and Graham was able to finish the play off with a touchdown.

On their next possession, the Jets started the drive on their own 20 yard line and it only lasted two plays.  As Geno Smith dropped back to pass on second down, Kyle Williams had a strip sack that was recovered by Manny Lawson on the Jets 4 yard line.  Fullback Frank Summers punched in his first career touchdown to give the Bills a 17-0 lead.

The next Jets possession was very similar to their previous one.  Lasting just three plays, Smith threw an interception to Jairus Byrd to end the Jets drive.  Dan Carpenter connected on a 42 yard field goal to put the Bills up 20-0.

Nick Folk missed his first field goal of the season in the first quarter to keep the Bills shutout intact.

Rex Ryan must be loving life right now.
