The Peyton Manning free agent tour is scheduled for its next stop as Cardinals sources say he’s set to fly to Arizona to meet with Coach Wisenhunt tonight according to Jay Glazer of FOXSports.
Arizona Cardinals star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald insists he doesn’t know anything about the Cardinals pursuit of Peyton Manning
“If they are doing it, I haven’t heard anything about it,” Fitzgerald told Darren Urban of Azcardinals.com during a break at Kurt Warner’s annual flag football tournament Saturday. “I am as eager and everyone to see him.”
“At this point,” Fitz added, noting the time, “I don’t know anything.”
“I haven’t talked to Peyton so I really don’t know what his, you know, what’s important to him,” Fitzgerald said. “Obviously winning is important first and foremost but in terms of style and personnel I don’t know. That would be up to Peyton.”
Fitzgerald said he had faith in the Bidwills and GM Rod Graves to make the right moves in free agency. But he wasn’t going to get specific, especially about the quarterback position.
“There is still a lot of work to be done (with the team),” Fitzgerald said. “I’d hate to speculate on what could or could not happen. John (Skelton) and Kevin (Kolb) both made big strides for us last year.”
