Bad News for The Bills

Buffalo, NY- After the Buffalo Bills beat the Bengals 21-17 on Sunday to be one of the seven teams that are undefeated right now at 3-0, the Bills found out later on that one of their players will be out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

Defensive Tackle Harrison Phillips suffered an ill fate as he received the news that he was going to be out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

“Harrison Phillips will be out for the year,” said head coach Sean McDermott. “It’s unfortunate. A young player that’s been developing and was having a very good year and was an important piece for our defense. We’ll have him mend up and guys will step up and step in and we’ll go on from there.“It’s unfortunate and sad because he worked extremely hard. It’ll be good having him around albeit off the field.”

With Phillips out of the lineup, the Bills are looking st some of their players on the practice squad to give them some type of boast going against a vicious New England Patriots team that has dominated their opponents. The two players that may have a shot with getting some playing time against New England would be Kyle Peko and Vincent Taylor.

The coaches like both players and think both of them could fill in Phillps’ spot.

The Bills have been dealing with injuries the entire start of training camp and have put together a nice set of wins even though at times Josh Allen had to put his team in position for game-winning drives because the defense missed a key tackle or blew a coverage. Despite a slow start in games, the Bills are putting together some comeback wins and it will be interesting to see how they will fair this week against New England.
