New York- The philanthropic efforts that the NFL Legends contributed to their communities have earned them their own grant called the Legends Impact Grant. The grant recognizes different NFL Legends who have supported their communities in a positive way, happy, and safe way through non-profit foundations.
“Philanthropy plays such a large role in NFL players’ lives,” said NFL Executive Director of the NFL Foundation and Senior Director of Philanthropy ALEXIA GALLAGHER. “We are proud to support these incredible NFL Legends who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
Steve Young, Alan Page, and Bruce Harper were the inaugural winners and were awarded $50,000, $40,000 and $30,000, respectively for their foundations. These Legends speak proudly on why helping their communities out in a positive way means so much to them and how it reflects the world. They do not do these good deeds to be recognized, but to make an impact on individuals lives.
