·         @NFLfootballinfo: The @packers 61-yard TD is 2nd-longest game-winner on run/pass as time expired in 4th (65 yards, Morrall-Gibbons, 12/4/60, Det20, Bal15)

Week 13 kicked off on Thursday Night Football with the Green Bay Packers defeating the Detroit Lions 27-23. Packers quarterback AARON RODGERS threw the game-winning 61-yard touchdown pass to tight end RICHARD RODGERS on the game’s final play.

That marked the second-longest game-winning touchdown on a run or pass play as time expired in the fourth quarter in NFL history. The longest was a 65-yard touchdown pass from quarterbackEARL MORRALL to tight end JIM GIBBONS in the Lions’ 20-15 win over the Baltimore Colts on December 4, 1960.

Week 12 continued the trend of close games as 10 games were within eight or fewer points in the fourth quarter.

·         @NFLHistory:  @Broncos are 2nd team in @NFL history to overcome 14+ pt 4th-qtr deficit to beat undefeated team with 10-0 record or better
 
Denver running back C.J. ANDERSON rushed for 113 yards on 15 carries (7.5 average), including the game-winning 48-yard touchdown in overtime, and added four catches for 40 yards in Denver’s 30-24 win against previously undefeated New England on Sunday Night Football.

Anderson, who also had a 15-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, helped Denver become thesecond team in NFL history to overcome a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat an undefeated team with a record of 10-0 or better (San Diego vs. 11-0 Miami on November 18, 1984).

His game winning score was the fourth-longest overtime touchdown run in NFL history and the longest regular-season overtime scoring play from scrimmage in Broncos’ history.

Pittsburgh wide receiver MARKUS WHEATON had nine receptions for 201 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers’ Week 12 loss at Seattle. Wheaton is the third Pittsburgh player this season to have at least 175 receiving yards in a game this season, joining teammates ANTONIO BROWN (Weeks 2 and 9) and MARTAVIS BRYANT (Week 10).

The Steelers are the first team in NFL history to have three different players record at least 175 receiving yards in a game in a single season.

·         @NFLhistory: @Ravens are 2nd team in @NFL history to block FG & return for TD to win on game’s final play

 

Baltimore safety WILL HILL returned a blocked field goal 64 yards for the game-winning touchdown with no time remaining in the Ravens’ 33-27 victory over the Browns.

The only other time a team blocked and returned a field goal to win on the game’s final play was on November 17, 1985, when Broncos defensive back LOUIS WRIGHT blocked a Chargers’ field goal attempt in overtime and returned it 60 yards to end the game.

Seattle quarterback RUSSELL WILSON completed 21 of 30 passes (70.0 percent) for 345 yards with a career-high five touchdowns and no interceptions for a 147.9 passer rating in the Seahawks’ Week 12 win against the Steelers.

It marked the 20th game Wilson has thrown multiple touchdown passes with no interceptions, more than any other quarterback in their first four seasons in NFL history.
