SB48: Seahawks Stun Broncos With Cardinal and Gold Oozing!

Seattle Seahawks win their first Lombardi Trophy in franchise history in New Jersey for Super Bowl 48,  annihilating the Denver Broncos 43-8. Three’s and 12s for Seattle, Pete becomes the third head coach to win a National Championship and a Super Bowl, Malcolm the third Trojan to be named Super Bowl MVP. Alaskan Air busy all week bringing the 12thman cross country.   Defense does win championships!  Hard not to see all the cardinal and gold confetti spraying down on the field actually it was shaped like the trophy.

Trojan love in the house, on the field, in the ceremony and all over the web.   How appropriate for Marcus Allen to present the Lombardi Trophy to Pete Carroll’s Seahawks then that the USC alum LB, Malcolm Smith  becomes the fourth youngest player to be named Super Bowl MVP, behind Marcus Allen, Lynn Swann and Tom Brady, (yet again two more Trojans)

“Man, it’s incredible,” said Smith,“It’s the way our defense is set up. We just run to the ball. I’m just so happy to be here, man.”

He joins his older brother Steve Smith with his own SB ring. Smith also becomes the first defensive player to get the “I’m Going to Disney World” commercial. Malcolm finished with nine tackles, a fumble recovery and a 69 yard INT for TD.

My mind wondered as I was looking for John Robinson, Ronnie Lott, Anthony Munoz, Lynn Swann, Frank Gifford, Charles White, RIP; John Mckay and Ricky Bell all to come as well.  Its not a difficult feat as USC has more players all time in the NFL than any other program and 41 players playing currently.  Pete’s electrifying personality, hard not to love him and all his true passion for the game and his team.  Who wouldn’t want to play or root for Coach Carroll!  My mind wasn’t the only mind that shifted and reflected or transformed.

“This game was very similar to the Oklahoma game,” Carroll said of his 2005 Orange Bowl 55-19 victory over the Sooners. “This game was similar to the multiple Rose Bowl championship games. It was just like those games. It felt like it. It looked like it. The score was like it. The offense, the defense, the special teams.”

Broncos couldn’t hold back the Hawks, nor could the #12s as was reported 4 to 1 ratio over Denver fans.  Randomness; Seattle has outscored their opponents 38-0 in this stadium this season, Pre-season matchup DENvsSEA 40-10 Seahawks, 20 points is the least amount of points Broncos scored all regular season till SB48. Walk-ons in Seattle and the real estate definately will be on the rise.  How does this effect College coaches and NFL owners?  If their wasn’t a surge last year the amplitude just got louder, did I just hear the 12s?

The Seahawks locker room sang “We all we got, we all we need.”  Followed by “What’s next?”

You think recruiting will be directly affected for Sark? His love and props for Pete are.

After weeks of weather being the main topic, and ceasing to make an imprint.  Fans blasting bird eating and Omaha steak tenderizing, not surprising first play from scrimmage is a safety.  Defense does win chamionships!  Seahawks set the Super Bowl record for most playing time with the lead: 59 minutes, 48 seconds.  The game got out of hand if you were a Bronco fan but if you were reared a Trojan or an alum all you could think is FightON!  I shifted into Pete USC Football mode, more is better, total domination, shut out with only a few glimpses of remorse for the opponent.

Pete Carroll reflected,  “So there’s a lot to it. We’re very proud of it. I’m thrilled that we’ve seen it one area and we’ve been able to bring it to the NFL and recreate it. And for the fans that have watched us over the years in Southern California, I would think they took great pride in what happened last night because they understand what they just watched.”

It was electrifying for me, I know a bore for many though, however, Seattle was the better team in all three phases;   the scores, stats and results directly correlating with the outcome, ( Offense with 27, Defense with 9 and Special Teams with 7.  Also with 29 rushing plays for 135 yards, 1 TD and 18 receptions for 206 yards, 2 TD’s).  This team is balanced and family fueled,  filled by passion,  competitors heart and big smiles just like their leader, Pete.

WR Doug Baldwin,   “Everybody made plays.”

WR Ricardo Locketten, “We wanted to show the world who the Seattle Seahawks were.”

WR Golden Tate,   “I’ll be a pedestrian receiver with a big fat ring on my finger.”

Huge Congratulations HAWKS!! #12s #FightON!

Enjoy Wednesday’s celebration City of Seattle!
