With the 11th pick in the draft, the Houston Texas sought to improve their pass rush by taking Wisconsin defensive end J.J. Watt.
Analysis: A mild surprise with North Carolina’s Robert Quinn still on the board, but Watt is a huge, physical DE who doesn’t come with the health questions of Quinn, who didn’t play last year. His presence on the line could help their true weakness, the secondary, by hurrying quarterbacks and giving opposing receivers less time to get open.
