The Houston Texans selected Arizona defensive lineman Brooks Reed with the 10th pick of the second round of the NFL draft.
Analysis: A college defensive end who’s likely to play outside linebacker in Wade Phillips’ 3-4 defense in Houston, Reed is a speedy, energetic pass rusher who helps shore up the league’s worst defense along with first-rounder J.J. Watt. The way they played on defense last year, don’t expect these to be the last picks the Texans use on defensive players.
Alum: Former Texans cornerback Aaron Glenn announced the pick.
