VIDEO – The NFL Players Association has been hosting the NFLPA Rookie Premiere event all this week in Los Angeles and the big event from Friday night was the flag football game at UCLA’s North Athletic Field. Playing alongside the mix of NFL players and actors, one lone woman took the field – Seba Johnson, two-time Olympian and the youngest American ever in the Olympics for ski racing, as well as the first African-American woman in the Olympics for skiing.
She recognized the challenge of playing alongside current NFL stars like Felix Jones and DeSean Jackson, NFL legends like Eddie George and Roger Craig, as well as a smatting of Hollywood celebrities known for football movies, like Sean Astin of Rudy and Donald Faison from Remember the Titans.
Asked about the challenge of being the only woman on the field, Johnson said laughing, “Every single person out here is a special challenge for me.”
“To play against former NFL players, and other celebrities who played football in high school or college is a huge challenge… I’ll have fun though.”
Johnson played for the Black Ninjas, who ultimately lost to the Red Untouchables 53 to 42.
