The Houston Texans have confirmed that backup quarterback Matt Leinart has a fractured collarbone and will require surgery.
Head coach Gary Kubiak has also confirmed that Leinart will be out for the remainder of the season. It’s a tough break for the Texans, who will now be even more reliant on the strong running game and defense to try to maintain their playoff position and put in a post-season run. With their quarterback options now down to rookie T.J. Yates and recently signed Kellen Clemens, its going to be a hard road.
