RGIII tops NFL jersey sales

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III wrapped up his rollercoaster rookie season by having the highest jersey sales in the NFL. Even better, Griffin’s #10 set a league-best mark for sales in any league fiscal year in NFL history.

Hot on the heels was another QB making his debut for a new NFL team, Peyton Manning. Manning had the third-highest total in league history with the Denver Broncos. Younger brother Eli also tops the list among the top 10 jersey sales this year.

Brett Favre, the hopefully permanently retired signal caller, tops out as the number two and four seller for his Vikings and Jets jerseys respectively.

As expected the two combatants from Super Bowl XLVII, the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens, finished one and two in the league’s merchandise totals from NFLShop.com. Rounding out the top five from 2012 are the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
