Rex Ryan Goes Hollywood

Jets coach Rex Ryan is playing up his recent thespian role.  During Friday’s afternoon press conference Ryan pretended not to hear a reporters questions and as he looked away.

Channeling actor Robert De Niro’s character in “Taxi Driver, Ryan said “You talkin’ to me?”

Ryan has a role in Adam Sandler’s upcoming movie “I Hate You, Dad” in which he wears a suit and plays the part of a Boston-based lawyer and New England Patriots fan.

Sandler told Rich Eisen during his Thursday podcast that Ryan is a “mammoth Patriots fan” in the film.

“He’s my lawyer,” Sandler said. “My character . . . is kind of a dirtbag guy and he’s in trouble. Rex is an inexpensive lawyer in town. He takes care of me.”

For now Ryan is taking care of some football business as the Jets prepare to face the Bills on Sunday.
