DE Ray Edwards reached a 5-year, $30 million deal ($11 million guaranteed) with the Falcons on Friday. The former Viking will step in immediately at LDE and give the team a tremendous rotation. DE John Abraham will continue to start on the other side, leaving Kroy Biermann as one of the league’s best 3rd DEs. Biermann’s fantasy outlook obviously darkens for 2011. Edwards gets a boost with his situation now settled. All 3 could get enough playing time to wind up relevant in sack-friendly leagues, as the Falcons like to keep Abraham’s snap count somewhat limited.
