As for the game, which will be played on January 25, 2015 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the site of the Super Bowl, the league will experiment with changing the width of space between the goalposts, something they haven’t changed in over 90 years, according to Fox NFL Insider Jay Glazer (h/t to Yahoo! Sports’ Jay Busbee).

Last February, New York Jets kicker Nick Folk suggested making extra points harder by having two goalposts only 9 feet apart, but keeping the uprights the same (via CBSSport.com’s John Breech). While the NFL has always tried to look at changing the game in whatever way possible to make it more exciting, this may be a tough sell to both players and fans, as field goals still play a big part between a team winning and losing a game, cutting more than a quarter of the space between the goalposts could be a drastic change.
Along with watching the best players in the league compete against each other, seeing how this new wrinkle effects game plans and kickers is also something to watch in this year’s Pro Bowl.
