When discussing a timetable for his return from offseason neck surgery, Colts QB Peyton Manning said that "we will gauge it every couple of weeks or every week." He continued: "I can’t really give you a timeline… I have just been evaluated by the doctors and trainers, and have formulated a plan, that we started today and we will go multiple times a day… It is hard for me to predict, because it is a different injury. I want to get back very soon, but I certainly have some work to do.” Manning has been placed on the PUP list, and it sounds like he’ll be sidelined well into August. He probably won’t see much preseason action, but we’re still fully expecting him to be under center come Week 1.
