Rob Gronkowski caught six passes for 161 yards and a touchdown to lead the Patriots over a game Washington Redskins team. Gronkowski’s touchdown set the NFL record for most touchdowns in a season by a tight end passing Antonio Gates mark set in 2004. The Redskins battled all day and Rex Grossman threw two touchdown passes. In the end, Brady and the Patriots were too much for the Redskins who have lost eight of their last nine games. The Patriots remained on track to win another AFC East title and a bye in the AFC playoffs.
