Old School Meets New School: 2013 NFL Rookies Visit Hall of Fame

NFL Rookies visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio as part of the Rookie Symposium. After the rookies took their grand tour of the HOF they learned some valuable NFL history from legendary running back Jim Brown who taught the rookie class about major NFL events that helped shape the league into what it is today.

The Hall of Fame visit was just one of the many events that took place during the 2013 NFL Rookie Symposium. On June 25th (AFC Rookies) and on June 28th (NFC Rookies) attended a NFL Play 60 event at the Cleveland Browns Training and Administrative Complex where they taught children valuable football skills and drills.

The Annual NFL Rookie Symposium is integral in an NFL Rookie’s success in the league and holds presentations, workshops, and videos that demonstrate major principles like proper health and safety measures, mental health, decision making, substance abuse and domestic violence prevention, and maintaining positive relationships in the NFL.

Each rookie class is provided with valuable resources to help them overcome off-the-field challenges and transitioning into professional football. Many of the speakers during the events are past and present NFL players, league and team executives, and experts in specialized fields.
