EXCLUSIVE VIDEO Saturday, Feb 4th was a ordinary day at the Everett’s ( or at least I had to make it seem that way). It seems like no matter how hard you plan for something, when it’s the actual day of the event, it’s human nature to freak out because you want everything to fall on place. On this day, everything did-by the grace of God.
The girls and I woke up first so they could help Mommy make breakfast for Daddy’s birthday weekend. My little chefs were such great helpers. We finished just in time. Before eating, Famatta asked to give her Daddy his card. She said, “Close your eyes Daddy. We have a surprise for you!” it was too cute and perfectly priceless! He gladly took his card as he gave her and Faith a big hug and kiss. After eating, he quickly opened his card to discover his present (which he thought was all he was getting for his big day). The present was a gift card to Lifetime Fitness Med Spa for a two hour massage. This was actually a present and a trick. I needed some time to prepare the house for his surprise party.
When he left the house for his massage I felt like superwoman. I was running everywhere to make sure his 30th was one to remember. After his massage, he called and of course everything or everyone wasn’t all here, so I had to stall him some more by telling him to stop by the store and get some seasonings (He is thinking that I’m preparing dinner for him the entire time…lol).
Guests started to arrive. The DJ, photographer and Dawn and Ryan Neufeld were among the first to arrive. Shortly after their arrival Kevin came home. He had no clue that his former teammate, Ryan Neufeld and his wife Dawn were around the corner sitting in the breakfast area. Before he entered the kitchen I told him, “There are some people in there who decided to stop by and say hello.”
When he saw them, he was so shocked and excited! All he could say is,”You pulled this one off babe. I don’t know how you did it, but you did. Thanks babe.” Then, came in Mike Montgomery, former Green Bay Packers defensive end player, then Eric Winston and his wife Jenny, former college teammate, Houston Texans offensive tackle, and DajLeon Farr, former University of Miami player. Not all of the guests were able to make it, due to it being Super Bowl weekend, but I was so glad to see those who could come and share his 30th Birthday with us. His actual birthday is Feb. 5th, but we celebrated all weekend and I had his party on the 4th due to it being on Super Bowl Sunday this year.
