NFL Players Share Thoughts on Black History Month

As Black History Month continues in February, several NFL players from around the league are sharing their thoughts on what the month means to them.

Players hold in high regard the importance of others who came before them as pioneers and leading the way for their generation. They have been inspired by leaders who have set the example for others coming after them. And they are acutely aware of the amount of growth this country has experienced over the past 40 years or so.

Several players did a public service announcement about Black History Month that can be seen on NFL.com. The players featured in the PSA are Steven Jackson, Aldon Smith, Jeff Saturday, Matt Birk, LeGarrette Blount, Patrick Willis and Vernon Davis.

In the video, these NFL stars pay tribute to the leaders who paved the way for civil rights on and off the football field in honor of Black History Month.
