According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, restricted free agent Mike Tolbert will sign his one year, $1.8 million dollar tender on Friday. Beat writer Kevin Acee also noted that San Diego could ink Tolbert to a long-term deal before next summer. HC Norv Turner favors a 2-back system that will include Tolbert and 2010 rookie Ryan Matthews this season. Expect the more talented Matthews to see roughly 70% of the work.
