The Colts have re-signed RB Joseph Addai. Terms of the contract have yet to be disclosed. This move was expected. From a pure talent perspective, Addai is an average NFL RB. But he’s a good fit in Indy’s offense, and QB Peyton Manning trusts him in pass protection. He’s missed 13 games over the past 3 years, though, and hasn’t averaged more than 4.3 yards per carry since his rookie season. Although he’ll continue to serve as the Colts’ lead back in 2011, look for him to lose more touches to RBs Donald Brown and Delone Carter.
