Cowboys TE Jason Witten suffered a spleen injury and was dealing with internal bleeding after taking a big shot from Raiders LB Rolando McClain in Monday night’s preseason game. According to Pro Football Talk, Witten will be sidelined for the remainder of the preseason. And his status for Week 1 is in question. The fact that the Cowboys open the season on Wednesday, September 5th won’t help Witten’s cause. We’ll continue to update his status, but we’re nudging Witten down our rankings. The good news is that the injury shouldn’t be something that lingers once he does return.
