Jets Make Roster Moves, Sanchez Has New Squeeze

About a week before the season opener at home against the Buffalo Bills, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was seen having dinner with actress Eva Langoria, former wife of San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker. They had dinner near his home in Bedminster, NJ at Donald Trump’s very nice golf club.

Many Jet fans hope he does just as well on the field come this Sunday.  The team has scored only one touchdown this preseason, but Sanchez has said on more than one occasion, “We are saving our good stuff for the regular season.”  Let’s hope so.

The Jets have made some roster moves today.  The Jets have waived defensive tackle Marcus Dixon.  He played in all sixteen games last season.  They also picked up three players off the waiver wire, with two of the three coming from the Dolphins.  They include nose tackle Isakko Aaiuto, who was on the Dolphins practice squad last year. Wide receiver Clyde Gates from the Dolphins was also picked up, who is a kick returner with good speed catching only two passes last season in fifteen games. They Jets also picked up tight end Konrad Rueland from the 49ers.  He was Mark Sanchez’s high school teammate.

Running back Joe McKnight is alleged to have collected improper gifts from USC, the college he attended. The Los Angeles Times is reporting he was given a car and a plane ticket. This story is still being investigated.
