Week 10 Review
QB:
Upside Play: Eli Manning. Eli continued his mid season swoon, posting 215 yards with 2 interceptions. The bye week comes at a perfect time for Manning, as both he and the Giant offense will look regroup to bounce back week 12. The lone bright spot was Hakeem Nicks, who look healthy for the first time in weeks.
Upside Play: Philips Rivers. Rivers came up huge with 337 yards passing and 3 TD’s, he did throw 2 INT”s but that was a small price to pay. Rivers continues to benefit from the comeback of Danario Alexander. The super talented receiver looks healthy and gives Rivers another big target and opposing defenses another weapon to worry about. Rivers could have a repeat of last week in what should be a shootout against Denver this week.
RB:
Upside Play: Stevan Ridley. Ridley, along with teammate Danny Woodhead, exploited the porous Bills run defense, Ridley fell 2 yards short of the century mark and was able to find paydirt. Woodhead managed 2 scores of his own in what was an expected successful ground attack.
Sleeper: Marcel Reece. Reece filled in admirably for the injured Darren MacFadden and Mike Goodson. Reece had over 100 yards of total offence including 7 receptions which made PPR owners who started him very happy.
WR:
Upside Play: Marques Colston: Colston didn’t quite get the receptions or yardage that we were expecting, but he was able to get into the end zone to salvage what could have been a very disappointing afternoon.
Sleeper: Mike Williams: Williams let the Bucs in receiving albeit with a disappointing 2 reception and 64 yard performance. He was also kept out of the end zone on Sunday. While QB Josh Freeman remains hot, it seems like a different receiver benefits each week.
TE:
Upside Play: Kyle Rudolph. Rudolph nearly hit our projection right one the nose, going for 7 receptions with 64 yards and a score. Rudolph continues to impress in his breakout campaign.
Sleeper: Brent Celek: One of Micheal Vicks’ favorite targets, Celek suffered more than anyone when Vick departed early Sunday. Celek finished with just 3 grabs for 31 yards.
WEEK 11 PICKS:
QB:
Bustout Play: Matt Stafford: Look for Stafford to have perhaps his best Fantasy Performance of the season in what could be the highest scoring game of the week against the Packers Sunday. Stafford should reach 350 with 3 TD’s for the day. Get your Lion active in all formats this week.
Upside Play: Carson Palmer: Palmer should build on last weeks stat sheet in a game that could rival the Lions/Packers in terms of points scored. Palmer and the Raiders should be playing catch up all day and he could approach 50 pass attempts which should lead to another 300 plus passing day with 2-3 scores.
RB:
Sleeper: Benjarvis Green-Ellis: Law firm should get it going this week against the lowly Chiefs. Looks for the Bengals to exploit the Chiefs defense and Benny to find the end zone and eclipse the century mark for the first time this season.
Sleeper: Larod Stephens-Howlings: In what is shaping up to be an all “hyphenated” Sleeper running back week, LSH joins in on the fun to find some space in a not so great Falcon rush defense, allowing nearly 5 yards per attempt!. The Cards will try to run and control the ball as much as they can to keep Matty Ice and the Falcons offense off of the field. Even if the Cards fall behind expect some production in the passing game as well for LSH. He should approach 90 yards and a score.
WR:
Upside Play: Darrius Heyward-Bey. I guess we will keep rolling with the “hyphens”.
DHB will benefit along side teammate Danarius Moore in playing catch up to the high powered Saints. Both could top 100 yards along with a score each.
Upside Play: Steve Smith. Smith should make owners happy this week against the Bucs secondary this week. Look for Smith to exceed 100 yards in grabbing 8 passes and a TD.
Sleeper: Ryan Browles: Browles will take advantage of some open space in the Packer secondary with them paying close attention to Megatron, Titus Young and Brandon Pettigrew. Look for the youngster to grab 5 balls for 70 yards and a score.
TE:
Sleeper: Dwayne Allen: Allen should find some real estate in the Pats secondary, He should take advantage of Reggie Wayne getting double and triple teamed and in what should be a constant game of catch up for the Colts. Allen should grab 6 for 60 and a TD.
Sleeper: Rob Housler: Housler could be a nice one week filler at the TE position. With the Cardinal expected to play catch up, Housler should post 5 catches for 60 yards.
