First, a quick review of Week 9.
QB:
Upside Play: Andrew Luck: Luck came through in fine fashion at home last week with a tremendous performance. The rookie QB adds to his already impressive rookie campaign. All he did last week was throw up 433 yards and 2 more TD’s
Upside Play: Michael Vick: Vick had a decent game on Monday night, but his offensive line didn’t do him any favors. With a little more time to operate Vick could have had a monster game. He managed 272 yards with a TD and a pick. He racked up 53 yards on the ground running for his life.
Sleeper: Jay Cutler: Cutler continued his resurgence throwing for 229 yards and connecting for 3 TD passes with Brandon Marshall.
RB:
Upside Play: Reggie Bush: Bush had a somewhat productive day with 66 total yards and a rushing touchdown. With only 10 carries, he just didn’t get enough touches to really produce like we wanted.
Sleeper: Pierre Thomas: Thomas had 70 total yards on only 8 disappointing touches. The Saints divyed up the touches in Darren Sproles’ absence.
WR:
Upside Play: Antonio Brown: Brown departed with an injury Sunday against the Giants and was held to only 2 catches for 19 yards.
Upside Play: Jeremy Maclin: Maclin continued his lack luster campaign recording only 2 catches for 28 yards
Sleeper: Brandon Lafell: Lafell not only slept but stayed in bed, missing Sundays contest against the Redskins.
TE:
Sleeper:Jermichael Finley: Finley remarkably has fallen so quickly and becomes a bench player at best. Keep him on the bench until he can show some sign of life.
Sleeper: Dwayne Allen: Allen took full advantage of the absence on fellow rookie tight end Coby Fleener, posting 6 receptions for 75 yards. Only a TDwould had made this day better.
WEEK 10 PICKS:
QB:
Upside Play: Eli Manning: Look for Manning to bounce back nicely against the Bengals, Eli will approach 300 with 2 TD’s. Victor Cruz will be a big factor in the passing game, especially with teammate Hakeem Nicks hobbling
Upside Play: Philip Rivers: Rivers will spread the ball around against the Bucs, and should go over 300 yards with 2 scores. Look for him to stay out ahead in a game that could be a high scoring contest.
RB:
Upside Play: Stevan Ridley: Ridley looks to exploit the run defense of the Bills. Buffalo has been giving it up on the ground this year, non worse than the first meeting with the Bills in Orchard Park, where we saw teammates Ridley and Brandon Bolden going to the century mark
Sleepers: Taiwan Jones/Marcel Reece: Filling in for the recently injured Darren MacFadden and Mike Godson, Jones and Reece should both share the carries. Jones being the ground guy and Reece catching passes out of the backfield.
WR:
Upside Play: Marques Colston: Colston remains Brees’ favorite target. That trend should continue as the Saints attempt to knock off the undefeated Falcons. Colston should eclipse the century mark along with a score.
Sleeper: Mike Williams: With ex Charger Vincent Jackson sure to get a lot of attention from the Chargers defense, Williams who has been productive of late, should cash in on his opportunities Sunday. Look for 6 for 90 and a TD.
TE:
Upside Play: Kyle Rudolph: As we near the Holiday season, look for Rudolph to get a heads start on the festivities. Expect around 6 receptions for 60 yards and a TD.
Sleeper: Brent Celek. With DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin drawing attention from the extremely talented Cowboys secondary, tight end Brent Celek should find some real estate to work with, look for 6 for 50 and a TD.
