Colin Kaepernick had minor leg surgery post-draft

The 49ers revealed that QB Colin Kaepernick underwent minor surgery on his left leg shortly after the draft.  It’s unclear exactly what was wrong with the leg, but the team doesn’t sound concerned.  "The 49ers are aware that Colin Kaepernick underwent a procedure to address a pre-existing injury and were fully aware of the injury at the time of the draft,” the team’s official statement reads. “The 49ers have no concerns regarding his health and are confident that he will be ready for the 2011 NFL season." Kaepernick also confirmed that he fully expects to be ready for training camp.  "I don’t feel like it’s going to slow me down at all," he said. "I’ll be ready for the season, ready for training camp. I’ll be ready."  Kaepernick didn’t miss a single game due to injury at Nevada, and it doesn’t look like this will be a concern moving forward.
