The Titans and RB Chris Johnson are reportedly still miles apart in contract negotiations. According to Yahoo’s Jason Cole, CJ2K is looking for about $12 million per year with $30 million in guarantees. The team is offering about $8 million per season with $20 million guaranteed. That $10 million in guaranteed money figures to be the biggest hurdle to clear. The two sides are scheduled to meet again today, although we wouldn’t expect a deal to get done just yet. The end of this week seems like a reasonable expectation. If it’s not done by then, we’ll be bumping Johnson down our rankings again.
