CB Cedric Griffin will be cleared to start practicing Monday, about 10 months after his 2nd torn ACL. The odds certainly aren’t in favor of Griffin returning from 2 such injuries to become an effective cover man. Frankly, he wasn’t the strongest cover man to begin with. We’ll see if he can reclaim a starting job, though. The Vikings have no obvious replacement. Griffin tallied 92, 91 and 78 total tackles in his last 3 full seasons and picked 4 passes in 2009.
